TVXQ’s Love Triangle CF Becomes A Hot Topic!


Asia’s stars TVXQ have recently become a hot topic for showing a new side of themselves through their work with Shilla Duty Free.
Shilla Duty Free will working with TVXQ, who are extremely popular in Korea, China and Japan, from July to begin a global advertisement marketing strategy targeting young women in their 20s and 30s in the aforementioned countries.
In the second half of 2010, Shilla Duty Free used the advertisement concept of ‘A Dramatic Journey to Call My Own: My Journey Begins’ and created a dramatic space of interwoven stories of love, grief, meeting and parting using various items available in the duty-free shops. This was an avant-garde approach, compared to the previous advertisements that merely emphasized the benefits of ‘shopping’, that differentiated Shilla Duty Free from others and its wish to share and enjoy memorable moments during the journey of its customers.
The commercial will be filmed in three parts with the first ‘U-Know Yunho’ episode dealing with U-Know Yunho dashing to the departure lounge in a last desperate effort to stop ‘her’ from leaving. Though he ends up finding her, he sees her sharing a kiss with Choikang Changmin.
In the second ‘Choikang Changmin’ episode, the sweet yet dangerous kiss given by Choikang Changmin to capture ‘her’ heart will be seen. Through this advertisement, Choikang Changmin will change his image from a kind and good-natured man into a fatally charming bad boy.
In the third ‘Her’ episode, ‘she’ will be seen choosing between U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin with great difficulty. Though she is drawn to Choikang Changmin’s active approach, she still has strong and lingering feelings for U-Know Yunho deep within her heart. Who will she end up choosing? That is how a drama to call her own starts.
The three commercials will use watches, lipstick and bags, Shilla Duty Free’s hot items, as themes and be structured in the form of a ‘drama’. The commercial will begin airing mid-June in Korea and will then be aired in Japan and China after subtitles are added for foreigners who visit Shilla Duty Free.
Many are anticipating global stars TVXQ’s new CF and its effect on the heartstrings of women all over Asia.
